Welcome.

Changing the world.  Ambitious?  Naive?  Probably both.  Will a blog post do it?  Probably not.  Can art?  Maybe.  Can we devote our lives to anything more worthwhile?  Not a chance.

Welcome to thedodus.com.  I’ve completely rebuilt my site and will continue to develop it as I take on more new and interesting projects.  I conceive of this blog as an integral part of my site-wide and personal transformation.  This is the first in what will become a frequently updated series of posts that I hope you’ll all find informative and interesting.  Here you’ll find my thoughts and discussion spanning a variety of topics that I feel strongly about and hope can reach people and start a discourse about life, art, self-awareness, the current state of affairs and where we go from here.  Come for the art, stay for the blog posts, or come for the blog and stay for the art, or come for the free cookies, which is an internet joke I may or may not have employed successfully.

As some of you know, I’m in the midst of a total overhaul of my art purpose, production and proficiency and that will be consuming most of my time for the near future.  I do hope, however, that as my work progresses and becomes more exciting and relevant, and I begin to post here on the whole meaning behind this awakening journey, that this blog will turn into something of value in its own right that gives everyone a reason to come back, and possibly even inspire some of us to engage in new ways with each other, ourselves, and the world around us.

I also have a few super-secret, super-amazing hair-brained art/life schemes in the works that live in a musty shack on the border between genius and insanity.  I can’t really say more until they get the go ahead but trust me when I say, and I rarely say this about anything I do, they will be worth checking out.  Hopefully more in a riveting and hilarious way and less in a car crash you’re passing on the freeway…way.

That’s all for now.  You have my sincere thanks for stopping by the site, and stay tuned for things to get really exciting this summer.  In the meantime if you want to stay in the loop and get notified of new developments, follow Brad Lacke Illustration on Facebook or connect with me on your other preferred social network.

Cheers, and thanks for all of your support!
